This was a fun and challenging project! First off, words can’t adequately express how much this group of people means to us as clients and even more so as friends. Truly some of the finest people you could ever hope to work with or meet! But on to the project details!

For starters, we had a big challenge right out of the gate as we were dealing with an existing site with tons of pre-existing content that needed to be migrated over. What’s more, this content was all lumped into one central post list and needed to be split out into our new custom post type architecture. Thankfully we were able to knock that out with minimal manual data entry but it was still major hurdle to cross at the beginning of project development! In the end it was worth it because the new CPT structure makes it much simpler for the client to maintain and update the site content.

With the addition of special custom post types for active and inactive bands, releases (and vinyl releases), and a few others, plus the consolidation of some of the special custom fields into centralized locations, adding and displaying new content is streamlined and easier than ever.
